There's a massive game organised in Discord set in the W30k setting. It's going well and some interesting feedback is popping out (much more interesting as I am just an observer. One player asked me if I had thought of a Veteran Moves list. To my amusement, I had a proper answer:
So, Super Space Knights (120 pages) is the expanded version os Space Knights (10 pages). Main difference being the new moves for all the Companies (6 types that became 12).
The concept of "veteran company" was complex for several reasons:
1-Space Knights are already the best of the best. Even a rookie company is more than a match for most enemies.
2-The concept is explored with the Elite company (the best of the Order) and even further with the Command one (even more experienced).
3-The game is simple on purpose because that's how I wanted it. The drawback of this is a reduced granularity that makes very hard to change the Companies in significant ways. The 2d6 engine means that a +3 is almost always a success and that without using Supplies or help from others.
4-SSK relies in the long term in a fluid group of companies as some are destroyed, others are replaced, some get corrupted, the Order gets new Sins that affect everyone (including how the rest of the Dominion sees the Knights). You don't keep a company for too long as they can be lost quite easily or, even if they thrive, they get retired after the 5th advancement.
So, all companies are veteran to a certain degree (probably the squires far less) and the system relies the long term on the Order rather than on the Companies themselves.
In general, I have found that the advances for more moves, capacities and attributes usually work well as power booster without extra moves. The typical advancement in other PbtA games of choosing a move from other playbooks is tricky here as the moves often relay on special equipment ir unique skills. That without mention going through all the Companies reading all moves and considering options.

I got the game on the Deal of the Day in Drivethrurpg!
I have to say, it expands so much more the core concept that I almost feel bad for using the small game all this time!
My head is bubbling with ideas and soom I am organise a campaign for my partner and friends. I am considering using one of the pre-made settings included. The Alpha Centauri one amuses me greatly.

Well, in itself, Space Knights by itself has potential for many hours of gaming (I know that by my own experience) just with its random charts. If you add the downloadable material, even more. The SUPER SPACE KNIGHTS was created because I had so much stuff that needed to be put together.
