Robotic companies


This is a new type of company for Super Space Knights. You can use it as long as it´s compatible with the background of your campaign (sometimes, AIs are forbidden in the lore).

ROBOTIC COMPANIES


Cyberimplants are common among space knights as their brutal way of life often demands radical solutions to terrible wounds. Sometimes,  wounds accumulate as the space knight grows more and more experienced and they reach a point when they are more machine than human. Eventually, a knight will cross a line and become a fully robotic knight. These knights can still fight but their computerised minds lack of initiative and creativity despite all the data they can accumulate.

Some orders are very careful in avoiding this situation and execute ruthlessly those knigths with too many implants but others have a mix of flesh and metal knights within their ranks. In some cases, an Irregular or Elite Company can become a Robotic one as they recurr to cybernetic medicine to heal their warriors. In other orders, robotic knights are grouped together in special formations that act with the cold logic of the machine in combat situations.

Initial capacity: Combat Robots and choose one between Tech-Knights or Weapons (Assault or Heavy).

A Robotic Company has a base rank of -3 for the Mission Move.

MOVES

You have this one:

  • Iron and chrome: your warriors do not need to rest, eat or sleep. You can use Troops as Supplies and vice versa. Once a week, you must recharge your batteries (you will need access to some power source). 

And choose another one:

  • Armoured: it´s not just your knight´s armour: you are made of metal! You are immune to handweapons like swords, axes, arrows and low calibre bullets. 
  • Head-hunters: once per mission, you can declare an enemy as your Primary Target. You always know where it is, its weakness and how to ambush it.
  • Computerised brain: as you have uploaded it in your data base, you can consult the Code of the Space Knight anytime and use Logistics instead of Faith.
  • Support Troops: when using Unbreakable Brotherhood in combat, the company you support may choose an additional Always War option. If it fails, mark an additional Supply or Damnation, your choice.

This is so cool! I love it! In my campaign,  a company went too far with the implants, got it's last Taint and went on a killing spree through the Order's flagship.  If we had had this, maybe we could have sorted something out.
